Terms of Service
Last updated 13 October 2026
These are the rules for using Rentahouze. By creating an account or listing a house, you agree to them.
Who we are, and what this is
Rentahouze is a personal project, run by one person in the Netherlands. It is not a company and makes no money — there is no commission, no fee and no subscription. It is a noticeboard: owners publish their house, guests find it and contact the owner directly. Reach us at info@rentahouze.com.
We are not a party to anything you agree with each other. We take no commission, handle no payments, and hold no deposits. Any rental agreement, price, cancellation or dispute is between the owner and the guest. We do not inspect houses and we cannot vouch for them.
Your account
- Give a real name and a real email address.
- Keep your password to yourself. Anything done from your account counts as done by you.
- You must be 18 or older.
- Tell us at info@rentahouze.com if you think someone else has got in.
Listing a house
By publishing a house you confirm that:
- You own it or are otherwise entitled to rent it out, and doing so is allowed where it stands — some places require a permit or forbid short-term letting altogether. That is your responsibility, not ours.
- What you write about it is true.
- Any photo you upload is yours to use, shows the house you are listing, and contains nothing unlawful or anybody else's copyrighted work.
Your photos and text stay yours
You keep ownership of everything you upload. You give us permission to store it, resize it and show it on the site and in search results and link previews, for as long as your listing is published. Remove the listing or the photo and that permission ends.
What we may remove
We can hide or delete a listing, a photo or an account if it breaks these rules, if the law requires it, or if something is reported and looks serious enough to act on while we look into it. Where we reasonably can, we will tell you why.

The service is free, and offered as it is
There is no charge and no subscription. We also make no promise that the site is available without interruption, that it is free of mistakes, or that it will keep existing in its current form. We may change or stop features. If we ever stopped altogether, we would give notice and time to take your material elsewhere.
Liability
We are liable for damage caused by our intent or gross negligence, and for anything the law does not permit us to exclude. Beyond that we are not liable for what happens between an owner and a guest, for a stay that disappoints, for a booking that falls through, or for losses caused by the site being unavailable.
Which law applies
Dutch law. Disputes go to the competent court in the Netherlands, except where consumer law gives you the right to go elsewhere.
Changes
If these terms change, the date at the top changes. Carrying on using the site after that means you accept the new version.
