A place where a house and a guest can just find each other
Somewhere there is a house standing empty. Someone built it, or inherited it, or saved for years to buy it. For most of the year the shutters stay closed.
And somewhere else, someone is looking for exactly that house. Not a hotel room with a number on the door — a kitchen, a terrace, a place that belongs to somebody.
Getting those two people together should be the easiest thing in the world. In practice, a whole industry has grown up in between. Every booking pays for it: a slice off the owner, a fee on top for the guest, and a chat window where the two of them are not quite allowed to speak freely. The house gets a ranking. The guest gets an upsell.
We think that middle bit can simply go.
Rentahouze is a noticeboard, not a broker. Put your house on it for nothing. Guests see your photos, your price and your name, and they write to you — not to us. What you agree together is yours. We take no commission, not on the first booking and not on the hundredth.
What that costs you
Nothing. There is no listing fee, no subscription, no premium spot that bumps you up the page. Pay us nothing and your house sits alongside everyone else's.
The honest follow-up question is how this survives. Today the answer is that it barely costs anything to run, and we would rather say that plainly than invent a business model we have not built yet. If that ever changes, you will read it here first, and it will never be a cut of your rent.
Where we are now
At the beginning. Rentahouze is new, the map is still mostly empty, and the first houses on it belong to people willing to try something unproven. If that is you, you are exactly who we built this for — and we would genuinely like to hear how it goes.
You can add photos, say whether you let by the night, the week or the month, and put your own WhatsApp, Telegram or email on your page so guests reach you directly. Booking through the site does not exist, and we are in no hurry to build it — you two can arrange that between you. Nothing we add will put a toll gate between an owner and a guest.
Got a house standing empty?
Put it on the map in a few minutes. It costs nothing, and you can take it down whenever you like.
